Bhagalpur police release sketches of burglars

Bhagalpur: Police have intensified efforts to nab the burglars who were involved in committing the burglary at a jewellery shop under Kharik police station area of Naugachhia town in Bhagalpur early Monday morning.
“Raids are being conducted to nab the burglars on the basis of CCTV footages of Kharik bazar area and sketches of the thieves. We have also announced a cash reward of Rs 25,000 for those who provide information to the police about the burglars. The identity of the informer will be kept secret. We are close to cracking the case and will make arrests of the burglars soon,” said deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Naugachhia, Omprakash on Wednesday.
According to police, gold, diamond and silver jewellery, besides silver utensils worth Rs 75 lakh were stolen from the jewellery shop and a case was registered by Sachin Poddar, shop owner, on Tuesday.
