Mumbai: BEST workers’ union on Thursday petitioned BMC chief Bhushan Gagrani that the fleet of BEST-owned buses be maintained at 3,337 which is down to less than 1,100.
The union said that in 2019 a memorandum of understanding had been signed between BEST management and unions that the fleet be maintained at 3,337, but it was not done.
The union has now sought funds from BMC so that BEST can purchase its own buses.TNN
