Mumbai: The MIDC police have registered a case against a BEST bus driver after his vehicle crushed a motorcyclist’s arm in Andheri East on Friday. The injured motorcyclist, Ismail Suratwala, is currently receiving treatment in hospital, police said. The incident occurred at 9.20 am on Friday near Nelco signal. Suratwala, 35, is a resident of Mohammed Ali Road in south Mumbai.
The bus was moving to Mahakali Caves from Agarkar Chowk in Andheri East. Around 9.20 am, the motorcyclist appeared from a bylane. He had a collision with the right side of the bus and fell off. The right rear wheel of the bus ran over his left arm. He was rushed to Holy Spirit Hospital in Andheri where he underwent a surgery. The bus was seized by MIDC Police.
