Mumbai: The operations of a red electric AC bus were stalled in Byculla after it hit an overhead object, resulting in black smoke emitting from the vehicle. No one was injured.
“The bus was proceeding to Jijamata Udyan from Nana Chowk. Upon arrival at Byculla bridge around 1.15pm on Tuesday, while negotiating a right turn towards Ismail Merchant Chowk, a motorcyclist suddenly appeared in front of the bus,” said BEST spokesperson Sudas Sawant.To prevent a collision, the driver swerved slightly to the right, causing the roof-mounted battery of the electric vehicle bus to scrape against the horizontal pillar of an under-construction bridge.tnn
