Bengaluru techie ends life over marital issue | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: A software engineer allegedly hanged himself in his north Bengaluru apartment recently. Prashanth Nair had stayed alone for a year after separating from his wife over marital row. No suicide note has been found in his Ganigarahalli home.
According to a complaint filed by his father MN Kutty, a retired canteen manager from the Indian armed forces and resident of Nagasandra, Prashant, 40, worked in a well-known software company. He had married 12 years ago and had an eight-year-old daughter.
As the couple, who lived at Hennur, developed differences for over a year, Prashant moved to the apartment. As his son did not respond to his calls for two days, Kutty, who is from Kerala, visited his flat on April 4 night and found Prashant hanging.
“Prashanth took the extreme step due to distress over his marital life. His father expressed no suspicion of foul play,” a police officer said, citing Kutty’s complaint.
