BENGALURU: A 45-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and then died by suicide at their home in Devanahalli, on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Police identified the deceased as Basavachari, a welder, and his wife Suma, a homemaker. According to investigators, the couple had argued over the sale of a property. During the altercation, Basavachari is said to have struck his wife on the head with a dumbbell, fatally injuring her. He later took his own life by hanging, leaving behind a note explaining the sequence of events. The incident came to light when the couple’s children returned home from school.
