Patna: BJP on Saturday reorganised its state team with many new faces before the assembly elections due this year. The reshuffle was due for a long time and materialised only two days after PM Narendra Modi visited the BJP office after a roadshow in Patna on May 29 and gave a pep talk to the party leaders, including the MLAs, MLCs and MPs, on how to strengthen the organisation at booth-level. The 35 office-bearers in the new team of BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal include five general secretaries, 13 vice-presidents and 14 ‘mantris’. Rajesh Verma has been made general secretary again, while MLC Pramod Chandravanshi will be one of the party vice-presidents. Rakesh Tiwari has been made the treasurer, with two co-treasurers to assist him.Union minister of state for home affairs, Nityanand Rai, extended good wishes to the new office-bearers and said they have organisational experience and political skills to strengthen the party.The new general secretaries include Shivesh Ram, Rajesh Verma, Radha Mohan Sharma, Lajwanti Jha and Rakesh Kumar.
