Beed case: Min says no bias towards close aides – Times of India

Kolhapur: State higher technical education minister Chandrakant Patil on Sunday said distribution of work and power is carried out by CM Devendra Fadnavis and as per the Constitution, every decision regarding the state must be taken by the CM.
“There is no favouritism towards close aides. Therefore, action will be taken against whoever is responsible,” Patil said while speaking about opposition parties demanding the resignation of minister Dhananjay Munde in the Beed sarpanch murder case.
On MLA Suresh Dhas taking the names of actresses in relation to Munde, he said, “As followers of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we should ensure the character or image of no woman is tarnished or harmed because of our words. Dhas is my friend and I will personally call and advise him not to say anything that harms anyone’s image. The ongoing debate is political, social and sensitive, but involving actresses should be avoided.”
Asked if he is in the race to become a guardian minister, Patil said, “The CM and the deputy CMs will together consider the district, its political scenario and the caste composition, and accordingly decide which district requires which leader.”
