THANE: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case of sexual abuse of two four-year-old girls of a school in Badlapur on Thursday took the accused’s one-day police custody from the court to investigate him in the second FIR registered against accused in the same case.
The SIT took the accused into police custody from Adharwadi jail, where he was lodged, and after interrogating him for a day, produced him in the Special Pocso court in Kalyan on Friday.
The SIT officials claimed to have completed all the necessary investigations related to the accused. The court then sent him to judicial custody. The accused was later sent to Adharwadi jail.
According to police sources, the SIT has also requested the court for a test identification parade of the accused in the case, which has been accepted by the court. The identification parade of the accused will be conducted in the jail premises in the coming one or two days.
The investigators is now waiting for the report of the technical evidence collected, after which the SIT team will try to file a charge sheet as soon as possible so that the case can be further tried in the fast track court.
Sources said that in this case, they have collected many witnesses and evidence so that it can help in getting the accused punished.
