Auto driver’s son scores 94.8%, credits success to his teacher | Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: Harshal Prakash, the son of an autorickshaw driver from Ambernath, turned difficulties into opportunities and scored an impressive 94.8% in his SSC exam.
The 15-year-old student of Mahatma Gandhi Vidyalaya said he had begun preparing for his board exams from class 9 itself. Harshal credits his success story to his teacher Vanita Daware, who not only taught him math and science, but also paid his school fees since class 7 and bought him stationery and books.
“He is a talented, hard-working, and sincere student, and I did not want him to suffer because of his financial condition,” Daware said. “He would be focused while studying and thoroughly understand the topics, which I believe helped him.”
Harshal said he wants to become a data science engineer and plans to pursue Science. And, Harshal’s advice for his younger brother, who will be taking his class 10 exams this year, is : “Study from the start and don’t procrastinate.” — Khushi Mehrotra
