BHUBANESWAR: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly murdered in front of her husband, who had been assaulted and tied to a tree by attackers in a forested area near Handal Tota under the Nandapur police limits in Koraput district on Monday evening.
The deceased woman has been identified as Sabitri Khora.
Her husband, Mahendra Khora, a resident of Hariamunda village, was also severely injured and is currently undergoing treatment at the SLN medical college and hospital after getting preliminary treatment at the Nandapur community health centre.
Police are yet to ascertain motive behind the crime.
