Assistant loco pilot injured in stone pelting | Patna News – Times of India



Patna: An assistant loco pilot of the Patna – Singrauli Express (13350) sustained minor injuries on his head in a stone pelting incident near Nadaul station on the Patna – Gaya (PG) route of Danapur division under East Central Railway (ECR) on Tuesday night.
The incident took place around 9pm when miscreants, involved in illegal alarm chain pulling (ACP), threw stones at Ashish Ranjan Sinha, assistant loco pilot, while he was rectifying faults caused due to the ACP.He was provided medical aid at the station and then the train carried on its onward journey, said Danapur senior RPF commandant, Prakash Kumar Panda.
“The railways has taken the incident seriously and put its escort party on alert to check the incidents of ACP on the PG route. Besides, Patna and Jehanabad RPF personnel have been asked to identify the miscreants involved in the ACP and stone pelting at the pilot, and bring them to book,” he said.
In another incident, the buffer spring of one of the coaches of Purnia Court – Hatia Express (18625) developed a technical snag when the train reached Patna Junction around 11.20am on Wednesday. However, the train carried on its onward journey around 12.15pm after rectification of the faults, Danapur rail sources said.
