Assembly session starts today, Dy CM says will expose oppn’s ‘fake narrative’ | Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: Ahead of the state legislature’s monsoon session, which is also the session before the current govt’s term ends, deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday said the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) had set up a factory of creating fake narratives but Mahayuti would expose its lies during the session. CM Eknath Shinde, Fadnavis and the other Dy CM, Ajit Pawar, addressed a press meet after opposition boycotted the CM’s customary tea party held a day before the session begins.Fadnavis said the opposition’s policy was to lie but lie blatantly and with conviction.CM Shinde said the opposition created a fake narrative that NDA would change the Constitution and remove reservations and misled voters. CM Shinde said despite all these efforts, Narendra Modi became PM for the third time and voters will not make the same mistake they made for the Lok Sabha polls.
Fadnavis said they would expose the MVA govt’s scams like the body bags supply and khichdi scam during the session.
Shinde took a dig at Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, who said the monsoon session was the farewell convention of the current govt. Shinde said even to say goodbye, one has to come to the session. “Will he (Uddhav) say goodbye via Facebook Live?”
Responding to a letter given by MVA to the govt, Fadnavis said, “The opposition has gone into the mindset of lying to get votes in an election. To sum up the letter given by them in one sentence, they should look at their face in the mirror. They have talked about failure of Vidarbha irrigation projects… The Porsche accident in Pune is unfortunate.
The state govt has also taken a strict stand in this regard. We are working on a zero tolerance policy. They (MVA) should ask themselves the questions they have raised. We will also answer them in the session. Look at the indolence and corruption of the opponents. They are calling us a 40% govt. Who did the body bags scam, Covid scam, khichdi scam? We have not forgotten. We will give all answers,” Fadnavis said.
