Notorious contract killer held in capital

Patna: A notorious criminal, involved in arms supply, contract killing, and loot incidents, was nabbed in a joint operation by Bihar STF and Patna Police from the Khajekalan police station area of the state capital on Wednesday. The police also recovered four pistols and 28 live cartridges from them during the raid. However, some of his gang members managed to flee.
Police said the arrested criminal was identified as Danish alias Fracture. “Khajekalan police received a tip-off that the Danish, who was on the run in several cases of robbery, extortion, and murder in Patna, was planning another crime with his gang. Following orders from the City SP (East), a special team led by senior officers, including the Khajekalan SHO, cordoned off the area. However, Danish and his gang got information of the police’s arrival and tried to escape, but Danish was nabbed,” said a police official.
City SP, East, Shubhank Mishra said Danish’s associates are on the run and they would be arrested soon.

While some seized vehicles were damaged, crucial documents and property remained safe.
