BHIWANDI: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend with the help of his five friends and then gang-raped by four of them.
The Shanti Nagar police in Bhiwandi have registered kidnapping and gang rape case against six people — four who sexually assaulted her and two who helped them in the crime.

Only one of the accused has been arrested so far, according to police.The police said the woman and the main accused (ex-boyfriend) are from the same village.
According to police sources, the woman and the main accused were in a relationship for the last few years, but broke off four months ago.
As the woman got into a relationship with another man, the ex-boyfriend was enraged and planned to punish her.
According to police, on Thursday night, the ex-boyfriend, Aslam, (name changed), held the woman’s brother hostage and and made him call his sister to a certain place.
Police said the girl saw 15 missed calls from her brother when she woke up around 1:15 am on Friday. When she called her brother, he asked her to come to the designated place, saying he had fever.
She reached the spot in a rickshaw to find her ex-boyfriend and his friends waiting for her along with her brother. The accused beat up the woman’s brother and the rickshaw driver.
After this, the woman was forcibly made to sit in the rickshaw and taken to another place in the bushes behind a school, where four of six people gang-raped her one after the other.
They took the woman to third place and raped her in a pick-up van again. Police said all accused are between the ages of 20 to 25.
