Rourkela: An amin of Kutra tehsil in Sundargarh district was arrested by vigilance sleuths on Wednesday for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000. Sisir Kumar Naik, the amin demanded the amount to prepare a sketch map for partition of RoR (patta) of the complainant and his brothers. Naik initially demanded Rs 10,000 and later reduced it to Rs. 6,000. Left with no alternative, the complainant approached the vigilance authorities regarding the harassment. Following the arrest, searches were conducted at Naik’s residential house in Mahulpali village and his office premises.
