AISA & RYA protest in Bhojpur, demand retest

Ara: All India Students’ Association (AISA) and the Revolutionary Youth Association (RYA) organised a state-wide protest on Friday, demanding the cancellation of the BPSC 70th CCE-pre exam and the announcement of new dates for the preliminary examination. Protesters also condemned the baton charge on BPSC aspirants in Patna.
The protesters observed a two-minute silence to pay tribute to Sonu Kumar (25), a BPSC aspirant from Patna who allegedly died by suicide recently. They also called for adequate compensation for his bereaved family.
RYA state secretary and Agiyaon MLA Shiv Prakash Ranjan said, “Today, Bihar seems to be in the grip of education and exam mafias. The state govt could not conduct the BPSC exam properly and fairly. Instead of arresting those responsible for paper leaks and malpractices, the state police are baton charging protesting BPSC aspirants. Getting quality education and employment is a fundamental right of students, but they are not getting their degrees on time and facing a shortage of teachers in colleges. The suicide of Sonu Kumar and the lathi charge on aspirants is a blot on the NDA govt. The RYA and the AISA will march shoulder to shoulder with the students in their struggle against the unfair conduct of the BPSC exam.”
