After brief cool spell, weekend temp set to rise | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Mumbai: The city woke up to a pleasantly cool Wednesday morning as minimum temperature dipped to 16.5°C at IMD’s Santacruz observatory, 1.2 degrees below normal. The Colaba observatory recorded a minimum of 20°C — around the seasonal average.
Day temperatures remained comfortable, with Santacruz recording a high of 32.9°C and Colaba at 30°C. However, the relief may be short-lived. The Met has forecast that maximum and minimum temperatures will rise to around 34°C and 17°C, respectively, over the weekend.
Weather enthusiast Athreya Shetty attributed Wednesday’s dip in minimum temperature to a brief spell of northerly winds overnight. However, he warned that this cooling phase would not last. TNN
