The Association of Financial Advisors of India (AFAI) hosted the National Summit & Co-Lending Awards 2024, focusing on co-lending partnerships and financial collaboration. The summit discussed the growth of the co-lending model.
The co-lending model allows banks and NBFCs to jointly fund loans, providing borrowers with increased access to financing. Summit discussions covered the need for risk assessment, coordination, and policy support for expanding co-lending in underserved sectors, following RBI guidelines established in 2020. The event concluded with the Co-Lending Awards, recognizing contributions from banks, NBFCs, and fintech firms in financial inclusion.
The summit’s panels included topics such as “Expanding Financial Inclusion” and “Balancing Growth and Compliance for NBFCs,” with insights from industry leaders like Jyoti Prakash Gadia of Resurgent India Ltd. and Shachindra Nath of UGRO Capital.
Other leaders who attended the meet were Bank of Maharashtra’s MD & CEO, Nidhu Saxena (chief guest) and Aadhar Housing Finance Limited’s Executive Vice Chairman, Deo Shankar Tripathi (Guest of Honour).
