Bhubaneswar: Three people lost their lives in an accident when their car collided with a truck from behind on NH-57 near Pitapalli Chhak on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar late Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Bishwa Chetan Mishra, Bishwaranjan Sethi, and Prashant Pradhan, all residents of Chandanpur area in Puri district. The accident took place when the trio was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Khurda.
According to police sources, two victims died on the spot, while the third was rushed to a nearby medical facility where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Local residents, along with police personnel, immediately launched rescue operations upon receiving information about the incident.
The accident took place under the jurisdiction of Info Valley police station.
