Subhadra Yojana: Padayatras To Endorse Subhadra Yojana Today | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: With over 50 lakh women registered so far under Subhadra Yojana, a Subhadra Swagat Padayatra will be held in every panchayat on Sunday under the supervision of gram panchayat level federations.
A state-level padayatra will be held in Bhubaneswar. It will start from Giri Durga Temple at Kharvela Nagar and culminate at Rama Devi Women’s University.
During the padayatra, SHG members will participate in large numbers in welcoming the Subhadra initiative and more awareness will be created among beneficiaries.
“The response Subhadra scheme has been getting from women across the state is overwhelming. State govt has taken all possible steps to make the registration process hassle-free as a result of which over 50 lakh eligible beneficiaries have registered successfully under the scheme. Those who will apply on or before Sept 15 will get their first instalment on Sept 17 after the launch of the scheme by PM Narendra Modi,” said deputy chief minister Pravati Parida on Saturday. TNN
