MUMBAI: The Mumbai traffic police, at 11:30 am on Monday, received a message on their WhatsApp helpline number where the sender threatened that bombs had been planted at a five-star hotel in south Mumbai and Mumbai airport.
Immediately, the main control room of Mumbai Police was alerted. The hotel and the Mumbai airport were thoroughly checked, but nothing untoward has been found.
An FIR was registered at Worli police station based on a complaint given by the traffic department. A police officer from Worli said that the caller’s location was traced to Agra in Uttar Pradesh, but he had switched off his phone. The police are probing the case against the unidentified accused.
