27-year-old woman crushed to death by motorist in Mumbai’s Malad – Times of India
MUMBAI: A 27-year-old woman died after being crushed by a motorist near her residence in Malad West on Tuesday.
The driver rushed her to a hospital in the same vehicle, where the doctors declared her dead. The accused who was driving the car has been identified as Anuj Sinha, according to Mumbai Police.
Malad Police have arrested the driver on charges of reckless driving and negligence.
The accused resides in a high-rise on Malad Link Road, while the woman lived in a slum rehabilitation society adjacent to his building.
Police collected the accused’s blood samples for medical testing to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol. The results are still pending.
