Forest range officer held by vigilance

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths arrested forest range officer Bibhudananda Mishra for possessing assets 214 per cent more than the known sources of income.
The assets include one multi-storey building, one high value flat in Bhubaneswar, two flast in Hyderabad, eight plots in Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal, a farm house worth Rs 2.32 crore, Rs 1 crore of bank deposit, Rs 5.15 lakh cash, two cars and 557 grams of gold ornaments.
The forest department also instituted a case against Mishra under wildlife (protection) Act, 1972 for caging four peacocks in his farmhouse.
