Lord Shiva: Devotees rush to Cuttack shrine on last Somvari | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: Devotees thronged the Dhabaleshwar temple at Athagarh in Cuttack to offer prayers to Lord Shiva on the fifth and final Monday of the auspicious Shravan month.
Anticipating a rush, the temple had opened doors at 4am and the devotees navigated their way through a bridge to pour holy water on Lord Shiva.
The temple administration arranged for barricades and strictly prohibited the entry of vehicles into the vicinity of the shrine for proper crowd management.
“I came here from Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar, covering almost 25 km on foot. Every year I come to offer holy water to Lord Shiva at Dhabaleswar,” Jagannath Patra, a devotee, said.
