Mo Bus: Contractual staff protest in Rourkela over delayed payments and job insecurity | Bhubaneswar News
Rourkela: The contractual employees of Mo Bus services here on Sunday staged a demonstration to protest management’s ‘apathetic attitude to basic needs, like not paying them on time’. A female protester also claimed she was harassed by a drunk passenger on bus, but when she lodged a complaint with her supervisor, the authorities did not listen to her.
The protesters even alleged that there was no job security and the authorities often threatened to remove them from their job if they complained about the situation.Commuters faced difficulties as bus services remained suspended and it was resumed later in the day following an assurance from CRUT officials.
