Lion: 20-year-old lion dies in Nandankanan | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: A 20-year old lion, Krish, died of old age in Nandankanan zoo on Wednesday afternoon. Zoo officials said Krish was a male hybrid lion born at the zoo in 2004. It sired two litters with lioness Radha. His two offspirngs are Kalpana and Jeet. The animal was under geriatric palliative treatment. “In last one week it was unable to get up. Despite the best efforts of our dedicated veterinary and support team, Krish’s condition continued to decline and died,” said zoo deputy director Sanath Kumar.TNN
