Youth Shot Dead in Supaul Sparks Mob Fury and Road Block | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: A 21-year-old youth was shot dead allegedly by four miscreants near Jadia High School in Koriapatti of Supaul district in the early hours of Tuesday morning, triggering a protest by the local residents and his family members. They blocked national highway-327E at Jadia market by placing the body, disrupting traffic for more than two hours, even as police detained one person.
The incident took place around 4.30am, when the youth identified as Bhaskar Yadav, a resident of Ward 6 under Jadia police station, was on his way to work at a cattle shed near his home.He was intercepted by four persons who had come on two bikes. The miscreants then took out a pistol and pumped two bullets into his head from point blank range before fleeing the spot.
Hearing the sound of the gunshot, a team from Jadia police station, which was on patrolling duty near the spot, came to the crime scene and gave the fleeing miscreants a chase but they managed to escape.
The SHO of Jadia police station, Rajiv Kumar, said the youth died on the spot. “The reasons for the murder are being investigated. The forensic team has collected blood samples and other evidences form the spot. The dog squad was also called. Raids are being conducted to locate the accused,” he said, adding the police sent the body to the district hospital for postmortem.
Police said they were interrogating the detained suspect. The protesting family members though sought a senior police officer to hear them out, demanding arrest of the miscreants. The police later pacified the protesters, assuring them of arresting the assailants.

Gajendra and Babu were arrested, claiming they kept the bombs to fend off wild boars. Pakala police registered a case and took the duo into custody for further questioning.
