Elderly woman stabbed to death in Jehanabad

Patna: A 70-year-old woman was found dead, with multiple stab wounds on her body, inside her house in Kako police station area of Jehanabad district on Sunday. Police sent the body for postmortem and have begun a probe into her killing. Trainee DSP-cum-Kako police station in-charge, Sangeeta Kumari, said deceased Malo Devi used to live alone, while her two sons lived in separate houses on the same street.“It appears that she was killed early in the morning. The forensic team has collected blood and other samples from the crime spot. The body was handed over to her younger son Kunal Kumar after postmortem at the sadar hospital. An FIR, based on her son’s statement, has been registered against unknown persons.”
The DSP said there is a market in the ground floor of her building, while the woman used to live on the first floor. “The lock of the main door was found broken. The family has not mentioned any dispute with anyone,” she said. TNN
