Railways Extend Services of 7 Trains to Manage Monsoon Rush | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: To cope with rush of passengers during monsoon season, the railways has further extended services of at least seven pairs of long distance special passenger trains on different routes, either originating from or passing through jurisdiction of the East Central Railway (ECR).
Giving details of the trains whose services have been extended, ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra said Ernakulum-Patna special (06085/06086) will be in operation from August 16 to September 9 from Ernakulum, leaving the station every Friday and Monday from Patna side.Similarly Coimbatore-Barauni special (06059/06060) will run from August 13 to September 6, leaving Coimbatore every Tuesday and Friday from Barauni end, he said.
Coimbatore-Dhanbad special (06063/06084) will be in operation from August 16 to September 6, leaving Coimbatore every Friday and Monday from Dhanbad side. Besides, Howrah-Raxaul special (03043/03044) will run till September 29, leaving Howrah every Saturday and Sunday from Raxaul, the CPRO said.
Another pair of special train (03045/03046), plying between Howrah and Raxaul, will be running till August 29 leaving Howrah every Monday and Thursday and every Tuesday and Friday from Raxaul till August 30, he said, adding Sealdah-Vadodra special (03109/03110) will be in operation till September 24 leaving Sealdah every Tuesday and Thursday from Vadodra till September 26.
In addition, Tata-Varanasi special (08103/08104) will run from Tata every Thursday till August 29 and every Friday from Varanasi till August 30, he said, adding the railways has already extended services of more than 15 pairs of other special passenger trains on different routes to manage the rush of passengers.
