Mumbai: A Virar resident, Sagar Belose (32), has been booked for allegedly slashing his wife Sheetal (30) on the face and neck with a blade and slitting his wrist on a Girgaum road on Monday. Both were admitted to hospital; their condition is stable.
V P police said the couple had been facing marital issues that led to Sheetal moving back to her parents’ Nalasopara home with their 10-year-old son.At 9.30am, when Sheetal was heading to her office, Sagar confronted her and asked her to return home. She refused. He slashed her and then inflicted self-harm, claimed police. tnn
