Patna: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has restored the number of sanctioned seats at Patna Law College, according to its notification on Wednesday. College principal Vani Bhushan said that the number of seats in LLB course in the 115-year-old institution was reduced from 300 to 120 in 2021 by the BCI owing to certain shortcomings, including shortage of faculty and space.On a representation made by the college recently, a team of the BCI inspected the institution again and ordered restoration of its sanctioned strength. The principal said admission of students to the LLB course on enhanced number of seats would be made from the current 2024-25 session itself.
