THANE: The body of an unidentified man was found in the Kalwa creek waters, Wednesday evening, officials informed.
The incident was reported around 3.30pm when passersby initially alerted the authorities about an unidentified man possibly aged between 35-40 years to have lost conscious and floating along the Kalwa Retibunder creek bank. A team of rescue members fished out the man and took him to the nearest hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, Yasin Tadvi, in-charge at the Thane regional disaster management cell informed.
A case of accidental death was being registered with the Kalwa police that could take up the investigations further, informed Tadvi.
