Bihar Police most followed on social media in state | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: Bihar Police has become the most followed govt institution on social media in the state with a total of around 13.8 lakh followers on major platforms, according to a release by the state police headquarters on Tuesday.
Vishal Sharma, superintendent of police, social media centre, at Bihar police headquarters said Bihar School Examination Board ranks second after them in terms of followers on the three major social media platforms, followed by information and public relations department.
According to a survey by the Quality Council of India (an autonomous body established by the ministry of commerce and industry), 32% of people are aware of Bihar police’s social media page, and 62% of them follow the official social media platforms.
Sharma said compared to the police departments of other states, Bihar police ranks fifth in terms of followers on all major social media pages. Kerala ranks first and Uttar Pradesh second, added the SP.
