Bhubaneswar: BJD and Congress members created a ruckus in the assembly for the third day in a row over the alleged assault of a govt officer by governor Raghubar Das’ son, forcing speaker Surama Padhy to make frequent adjournments. Padhy first adjourned proceedings till 11.30 am and again till 4 pm. tnn

Bihar assembly adjourned till noon amid oppn protest over denial of special status
The Bihar assembly session was adjourned till noon after opposition members protested against the Centre’s refusal to grant special status to the state. Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav’s appeals for order were ignored, and the session was disrupted, highlighting the ongoing demand for special status.
