JD Vance wants Joe Biden to step down immediately: Here’s why… | World News – Times of India

On Sunday, JD Vance asked Joe Biden to step down immediately. Trump’s VP elect wrote on X: “f Joe Biden ends his reelection campaign, how can he justify remaining President? Not running for reelection would be a clear admission that President Trump was right all along about Biden not being mentally fit enough to serve as Commander-in-Chief. There is no middle ground.”

He has said it before as well, writing on X: “Everyone calling on Joe Biden to *stop running* without also calling on him to resign the presidency is engaged in an absurd level of cynicism. If you can’t run, you can’t serve. He should resign now.”
At his first campaign event since being named the Republican vice-presidential nominee by former President Donald Trump, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her handling of the border crisis while appealing to voters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday.
Vance accused Harris of benefiting Americans minimally, except for collecting a paycheck, and sarcastically credited her for one accomplishment.
“She served as border czar during the worst open border disaster this country has ever seen,” Vance stated. “Let’s get President Trump back in office, close down that border, and bring common sense and security back to this country.”
This rally marked Vance’s debut as a running mate at a Trump rally, rather than just a supporter. His 13-minute speech highlighted the advantages Vance brings to the ticket, aiming to resonate with blue-collar and middle-class voters in crucial Rust Belt states.
Following his speech at the Republican convention, Vance emphasized his blue-collar roots in Ohio and criticized the Biden administration for hindering the success of people from similar backgrounds.
“What is this campaign about if not restoring the American dream for every child in this country?” Vance, a father of three, asked a crowd of at least 1,000 people in Van Andel Arena. “I want your kids to have the same blessed life that I have.”
Much of Vance’s speech echoed Trump’s familiar rhetoric, reflecting their close political alignment. Vance condemned the Biden administration’s border policies, supported Trump’s protectionist trade stance, and urged Americans to compare life under Trump’s and Biden’s leadership.
Vance, who gained prominence by explaining Trump’s appeal to working-class voters despite initially denouncing it, also criticized the media as “radical” and “dangerous” for its portrayal of Trump.
Five days into his vice-presidential candidacy, Vance appeared genuinely moved by the crowd’s response, frequently commenting on the enthusiastic reception, especially as an Ohio resident in Michigan.
“I’ve got to be honest,” Vance remarked, standing at a lectern adorned with a new “Trump Vance 2024” sign as the crowd waved placards with his name. “It’s still a little bit weird to see my name on those signs.”
