Youth with Criminal Past Killed in City | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Unidentified miscreants gunned down a 23-year-old youth having criminal antecedents in the busy Langar Toli area under Kadamkuan police station area here on Sunday noon, police said.
Vishal Kumar, alias Anshu, a resident of Rajapur Pul under Patliputra police station area, was an addict and involved in trading of drugs.
After receiving information, a police team reached the spot and sent the body to PMCH for postmortem.Deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Town, Ashok Kumar Singh said four empty cartridges, one live bullet and a magazine were recovered from the spot. “Prima facie, it appears that the killing was an outcome of an old rivalry. The victim was not only a drug addict but also had gone to jail in murder and loot cases,” he told TOI.
He added: “A team has been formed to investigate the case. The CCTV footage from nearby areas are being obtained to ascertain the identity of the assailants. A team of forensic experts also collected evidences and blood samples from the spot.”
According to eyewitnesses, the youth had come with two other persons, whom the police suspect of killed him.
