Chhapra: A jilted lover and his friend stabbed to death a man and his two daughters and injured another in Dhanadih village under Rasulpur police station in Saran district, police said on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Tarkeshwar Singh (55), his daughters Chandani Kumari (16) and Vibha Kumari (15). Chandani was a student of Class Xth.Their mother Shova Devi sustained grievous injury and has been admitted to a hospital in Chhapra. Tarkeshwar, father of two daughters, was an ‘ojha’ (exorcist) by profession.
Police have arrested the two accused — Sudhanshu Kumar alias Roshan (19) and his friend Ankit Kumar (18)–both residents of Rasulpur under Rasulpur police station in the district.
Saran SP Kumar Ashish said the incident occurred around 2am on Tuesday. “Police received a message the emergency number 112 that three persons had been killed on the terrace of house of Tarkeshwar Singh alias Jhabar Singh in Dhanadih village. After getting the information, a police force from Rasulpur police station rushed to the village,” he said.
