‘Jan Suraaj to contest all 243 seats in state’ – Prashant Kishor’s Bold Plan for Bihar Elections | Patna News – Times of India

‘Jan Suraaj to contest all 243 seats in state’

Patna: Poll strategist-turned-political activist Prashant Kishor claimed on Sunday that around one crore people would join Jan Suraaj when it becomes a full-fledged party on October 2. Kishor made this announcement during a meeting with Jan Suraaj Campaign Committee members, urging them to unite Bihar, which he said is divided by castes. Kishor said his initiative has started yielding results and called on members to educate the masses if they want to change the system.
Kishor also announced plans to contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar to transform the state’s political landscape.
“We have come with the mission to change the face of Bihar and not to win 20-25 seats. Just have patience for two years,” he said.
Kishor said among the three major parties in the state, the RJD is the most nervous. “Just listen to me… Khali lantern bachega, kerosene nahin (You will see that lantern will be left with no kerosene to be lit),” he said, adding once minority communities join the Jan Suraaj campaign, the lantern would be extinguished.
