NDA taunts Lalu family for attending Anant’s wedding | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: As former Union minister Lalu Prasad and his son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav arrived in Mumbai on Friday to attend the grand wedding of Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani, the ruling coalition seized the opportunity to criticise the opposition. They questioned the discrepancy between their words and actions.
Prasad’s entire family flew to Mumbai from Patna in a chartered plane provided by Mukesh Ambani. When asked about this, deputy CM and senior BJP functionary Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “They have gone there because they have got an invitation.” He then taunted Prasad’s family, highlighting their political alignment with the INDIA bloc and their association with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has been a vocal critic of Adani and Ambani.
“Those who were raising questions on Adani-Ambani are going to participate in the wedding function in a chartered plane provided to them,” Sinha said. He added there was no issue with attending a wedding but implied there was a contradiction in their public stance versus their actions. “They (Prasad’s family) should explain why there is a difference between what they say and what they do,” Sinha added.
BJP minister for backward castes and extremely backward castes’ welfare Hari Sahni took a more measured approach. “They say one thing and do another. Lalu PrasadThey (Adani and Ambani) are job providers, but the Prasad family has gone on a chartered plane to participate in the wedding function,” Sahni said.
