Railways to run more special trains to manage rush | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: The railways will run more special passenger trains on different routes either originating from or passing through the East Central Railway (ECR) to clear passengers’ rush during peak summer.
ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra said the Lalkuan (Uttarakhand)-Howrah (05059/05060) will run every Thursday on July 11, 18 and 25, leaving Lalkuan at 1.35pm and reach Howrah the next day at 9.30 pm via Gorakhpur-Hajipur-Muzaffarpur-Samastipur-Barauni-Kiul route.
“On its return journey, it will leave Howrah every Friday on July 12,19 and 26 at 11.30pm and reach Lalkuan on Sunday at 1.55pm,” he said, adding that the train will run with a load composition of one 1AC-cum-2AC, five 3AC economy class, six sleeper and three general coaches.
Similarly, the Jaynagar-Ujjain one-way (09092) was put into operation on Tuesday, which left Jaynagar at 10.05pm and reached Ujjain at 5am on Thursday having stoppages at Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra Junction, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Birangna Laxmibai Jhansi, Beena and Bhopal route with a load composition of one 3AC and 18 sleeper class.
In addition, the Malda Town-Udhana (09016) was put into operation on Tuesday. “The services of the Puri-Patna (08439/08440) have been extended till September 28, leaving Puri every Saturday and Patna every Sunday till September 29, the chief public relations officer said.
