Strive to raise PU’s academic standards: VC | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Newly appointed Patna University (PU) vice-chancellor Ajay Kumar Singh on Monday appealed to the teachers and non-teaching staff to fulfil their social responsibilities by serving the interests of students to the best of their capacity.
Interacting with the teachers and non-teaching staff separately at Jayaprakash Narayan Senate Hall here, the VC said, “The university is primarily meant for the students and we all are here to serve them to their utmost satisfaction.”
He appreciated the fact that the majority of PU teachers are young and they can walk some extra mile to further raise the academic standards of the university.“They should strive hard to promote quality research by establishing their own research labs. Sincere efforts should be made by all for improving the quality of research in the university,” he said.
