Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed officials concerned to implement the Union govt’s s integrated women’s empowerment programme, Mission Shakti, in Odisha.
The scheme aims to strengthen women’s safety, security and empowerment. The programme includes initiatives such as One Stop Centres, Women’s Helpline, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, establishment of women empowerment hubs, Sakhi Niwas, Shakti Sadan, childcare homes, and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana, according to a statement issued by the CMO.It further stated that the decision will ensure excellent coordination between Odisha govt and the Centre. “It is noteworthy that the new govt is determined to fully implement various centrally-sponsored schemes in Odisha,” the statement maintains.
