Good governance government’s top priority: Deputy CM | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said here on Sunday that officers and staff of various state govt departments have been asked to work strictly by following the norms and rules to deliver good governance.
“Under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, the state government is committed to deliver good governance. There has to be rule of law in the state,” Choudhary said, adding that bureaucrats have been asked to perform and deliver work strictly according to rules and norms.
Choudhary was talking to mediapersons at the state BJP headquarters after listening to the 111st edition of PM Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat broadcast. It was the first broadcast after the conclusion of the 18th Lok Sabha elections that gave third term of office to PM Modi.
Choudhary said that previous 110 editions of Mann Ki Baat have served as a huge motivation for the people of the country, which has scaled new heights of developments.
“Under the NDA government in state, led by CM Nitish, Bihar will further see development and growth. The BJP and JD(U) are equal partners in this effort,” he said.
Commenting on Emergency imposed in 1975 by former PM Indira Gandhi, Choudhary criticised RJD chief Lalu Prasad, saying that he had earlier opposed the anti-democratic step, but now he is in league with the Congress.
“He (Lalu) gave the name Misa to his eldest daughter in reference to the draconian law MISA, but is now supporting the Congress,” he said.
