5 Arrested for Stone Pelting on Seemanchal Express | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: A joint team of Danapur RPF and GRP on Sunday arrested five miscreants involved in the stone pelting on the Anand Vihar – Radhikapur (West Bengal) Seemanchal Express (12488) at Gandhi halt near Bihta under Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) on the night of June 28. The miscreants had illegally stopped the train by pulling alarm chain.However, when the escort party reached the spot, they fled away.
According to Danapur senior RPF commandant, Prakash Kumar Panda, “In between Dildarnagar and Ara, about 250 litres of liquor were seized by the railway security personnel from different coaches. However, the bootleggers managed to sneak into other coaches to evade arrest,” he said.
Irked over seizure of liquor, the miscreants may have resorted to stone pelting on the train, he said.
