Rourkela: A 16-year-old Class 6 dropout was on Thursday arrested for killing his father on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the 55-year-old came home in an inebriated condition and started beating up his wife.
His teenage son , who was his second born, tried to stop him but he did not listen and went on beating her up repeatedly. The son pushed him down with full force, resulting in the latter suffering head injuries.He became unconscious and his family took him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
“We arrested the minor boy for killing his father. A juvenile justice board sent him to a juvenile justice correctional home. We are investigating the case,” IIC (Hatibari) Surendra Naik.
