Girls outnumber boys in the first selection list. A total of 2,37,795 students applied for 2,74,331 UG seats, of whom 72,556 boys, 1,06,414 girls and six transgender candidates were selected.
In humanities, the highest cut-off marks was in geography of 89.67% in Ravenshaw University while in physics and zoology, the cut-off marks were 91.17% and 93.20%, respectively. In commerce, the highest cut-off was 88.60% in Ravenshaw.
In self-financing courses, the highest cut-off mark was 87.4% in biotechnology to BJB College in Bhubaneswar. In Sanskrit, Sri Radhamadhab Sanskrit College in Bolagada, Khurda had the highest cut-off of 68.57%. In law, Madhusudan Law University, Cuttack had the highest cut-off of 81% for its five-year integrated BA LLB.
As many as 45,614 students were selected in the science stream, a maximum of 1,09,854 in humanities, 17,156 students in commerce, 3,574 students in Shastri (Sanskrit), 2,626 in self-financing courses and 152 in law in the first list. The selected students will have to report at the higher education institutes from June 26 to 29 to complete their admission.
