Police exam: Aspirant clickspic of question paper, held | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: A candidate, Swami Vivekanand Kumar Yadav, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly trying to photograph the question paper of the combined main exam of the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) using a cellphone during the exam. However, the aspirant was unable to send the images outside the centre as a jammer was installed on the campus, police said.
The incident occurred at Patna College of Commerce exam centre during the BPSSC police sub-inspector (prohibition) and SI vigilance (mains) exams.
Late Sunday evening, an FIR was registered at the Patrakar Nagar police station regarding the matter. “The candidate disclosed during questioning that he had concealed a cellphone on the college premises two days prior to the exam, on June 21. On the exam day, he retrieved the phone and covertly brought it into the examination hall. He had planned to hide the phone on the college premises in advance to avoid being caught at the main gate, where a metal detector search was performed,” said a police officer.
“The candidate, who was apprehended for misconduct in the examination hall, was brought before the Sadar sub-divisional officer and subsequently sent to jail on Monday,” SHO of Patrakar Nagar police station, Abhay Kumar, said.
“Stringent measures were in place outside and inside the centre to ensure a fair examination. A metal detector was installed at the main gate, and videography was also conducted. Despite this, Yadav, who was giving the exam in the first shift, took a photo of the question paper with his cellphone and attempted to send it outside. However, the invigilator caught him. The accused has revealed that he was trying to send the photo to one of his relatives to get answers. Further investigation is going on in the matter,” the SHO added.
