MUMBAI: The Union Ministry of Communication through the postal department collaborated with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the United States Postal Service (USPS) to launch a capacity building and study visit programme for officials of 24 African countries.
Friday’s inauguration took place in Bandra amid 45 African delegates and representatives from UPU and USPS.The objective of the visit is to showcase various services offered through India’s post offices. A special cover with a unique cancellation mark was released by Vandita Kaul, secretary (Posts). A delegation from Mauritius Post presented a joint first-day cover to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mauritius and India.
