Mystery shrouds death of Danapur man | – Times of India
Patna: A 29-year-old man, Sunny Kumar Pandey, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Shahpur police station area in Patna’s Danapur sub-division on Thursday. A syringe and an empty medicine bottle were found at the scene, leading to suspicions of a drug overdose as the cause of death.
The deceased’s arm bore injection marks, further supporting the overdose theory.Locals alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and took custody of the body. Shahpur SHO Manish Kumar Anand said the investigation was ongoing.
The victim was a resident of Kharanja Road near Saguna Mor.
According to the SHO, Sunny had recently returned home from Chennai, where he worked in a private firm. “After arriving on Wednesday, he slept and later left the house around 7pm, never to return. His family’s attempts to reach him on his cellphone were unsuccessful, and they assumed he might have stayed with a friend. However, local people discovered his lifeless body in a deserted area of the Chandmari locality,” the SHO said.
“Initial investigations revealed that Sunny was a drug addict. No external injuries were found on his body. Only three to four needle marks were observed on his hands,” added the SHO.
